5 Things to do in Kuala Lumpur - Holiday Inn Express

Yes, I've been travelling around the world but I never talk about the things you can do in my own city Kuala Lumpur. Kuala lumpur is one of the developing in South East Asia and often a forgotten place to visit because of all the amazing country surrounding it. I too, am guilty of this, because I favour travelling out more than exploring in my own backyard.

Just a few weeks ago, I was privilege enough to collaborate with Holiday Inn Express Kuala Lumpur to create this content for you all. My stay in Holiday Inn Express was pleasant and I loved every minute of it. Holiday Inn Express is definitely a limited and cheaper version of the famous Holiday Inn Hotels, but it has all you need in one building. It is compact, and perfect for people that's always on the go that don't prefer to spend big cash just to stay few days in a city! That is including me, staying there for 48 hours, there were so many activities that can be done around Kuala Lumpur because the hotel itself is located right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

10-minute walk from upscale shopping at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and 1 km from the iconic Petronas Towers. It's 8 minutes' walk from Raja Chulan monorail station.

Rooms with colourful, contemporary decor feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screens and iPod docks, along with minifridges, tea and coffeemaking facilities, and bathrooms with rainfall showers.

A complimentary breakfast buffet. Additional amenities include a 24-hour fitness centre and laundry facilities.

Things to do In Kuala Lumpur

1. Shop till you drop in Bukit Bintang
Bukit Bintang is ofcourse the shopping heaven of Kuala Lumpur, you will find the cheapest things to high-end stuff here. My favourite place to go is of course Pavillion. Pavillion is the shopping mall for everyone, you can shop, eat, watch movies and everything! If you prefer a cheaper shopping option, you can always visit Sungei Wang.

2. Visit Hipster cafes

Kuala Lumpur has a lot of hidden hipster cafes. One of the cafes that I visited was greyhound cafe that is located just outside of Farenheit 88 (in bukit Bintang), can I say, that I loveeee their interior, it has Parisian vibes into it. Not only their food taste fantastic, the price of their food is quite affordable as well.

3. Satisfy you tastebuds in Jalan Alor

Jalan Alor is the food heaven for every foodies out there, if you're looking for local Malaysian food, you must visit Jalan Alor! Jalan Alor is basically a street with lots of hawker food restaurants located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, it's walking distance from Bukit Bintang.  I, as a Malaysian myself absolutely love this place, it's always a place to go for supper after a drunk night :P

4. Bar Hopping in Changkat

If you're looking a place to drink, you may consider Changkats street. Changkat has different types of bars for different types of personality, also you could find really cheap drinks from here. May I warn you, it can be a little bit rowdy because of drunkards but if you can take care of yourself, it's definitely a place to go.

5. Party Hard in Trec KL or Zouk KL
As compared to Changkat, Trec is a hub centre with places to eat and drink. Mostly drink. I absolutely love Trec KL, and I must say I prefer Trec KL more than Changkat because it's classier, more civilised and safer as compared to Changkat. If you ever visit Trec KL, you should definitely party your nights away in Zouk KL. Zouk KL is one of the top clubs in world, in Zouk Club itself has more than 8(?) rooms? I dont know but they have definitely a lot of rooms in the club for people with different taste of music. My favourite clubs in Trec KL is Artebar, Red Room, Trak, and ofcourse Zouk KL.
